I've caved, and reinstalled World of Warcraft, and bought the latest expansion.
ArcheAge just really doesn't work for me. Unless you find a good and dedicated guild, It's just too grindy, as is the custom with most Korean MMOs.
Lord of the Rings Online is however, a damn fine MMO. Whilst playing i even got a fantastic deal on all the expansions, unlocking 2 new classes. I tried settling in on the Warden class, a good solo DPS class I believe. The biggest turn off though, was that all the class abilities were centered around 2 different Shout abilities. And they didn't skimp on the voice actor for these shouts. The class is literally based around screaming like a madman every few seconds, and that seriously gets old.
Also, without paying extra, the standard Gold cap is 2 Gold.
So, after bailing out on those 2, last week I finally caved and got back into WoW. And I was pleasantly surprised. I've not played it for years, and have missed out completely on 2 expansions. But with the latest one, they really nailed it. The graphics remain a tad outdated, but the art style makes up for it, and overall It's still a very pretty game.
I got used to the class revamps pretty fast too. Back when I played, by the time you were max level, your hotbars were absolutely stuffed with different abilities. I even had Macros set up for everything, and it was still extremely cluttered to use any abilities. All the class abilities have been streamlined now though, which is much more user friendly.
For some reason, WoW just grips people like no other MMO has managed to, and for the first time in many years, I like it.

I didn't get the impression that they screwed up the game, like It wasn't really playable. It just wasn't a particularly fun game.
Did they release it before they discontinued it?
Thinking about it more closely, it is extremely odd that they'd scrap an entire MMO after years of development, without getting any sort of public feedback on it. No closed Alpha or anything as far as I know.
