So since January, EverQuest Next, a fairly highly anticipated MMO was canceled, and many of the other anticipated MMOs are still a good while away. Which still leaves me in an MMO slump. I've played a bit of the Old Republic still, but really the only thing that game ever had going for it were the storylines, the gameplay completely drains my desire to power through them though. For now, I've gone ahead and installed ArcheAge. I played in a Beta of it some years ago, but some gameplay aspects completely put me off, so I never got it when it released. But It's free to play, and it has been a long time since the Beta, so hopefully it's something I can enjoy this time around. I remember hearing about Everquest Next being in development for a long time. I'm quite surprised they canceled it actually,

All MMOs are in development for long periods of time, they're simply the most elaborate and complex games there is to design. So when one gets canceled, so relatively close to release, you know they seriously messed up.
The director, or manager for it said "It just wasn't fun".

They must have made some major mistakes, I thought that game was in development for years.

I didn't get the impression that they screwed up the game, like It wasn't really playable. It just wasn't a particularly fun game.

I didn't get the impression that they screwed up the game, like It wasn't really playable. It just wasn't a particularly fun game. Did they release it before they discontinued it? No, it was still in closed development. It took most of the afternoon, and evening to install, but I finally got some time to play ArcheAge. Shockingly little seems to have changed since the Beta, except some bug fixes and UI tuning and such. Some of the NPC also still speak Korean, which is kinda annoying. They still use this very annoying gameplay mechanic they call "Labor Points" which you accumulate as you play, and you need them for just about any minor task not combat related. Gathering and crafting primarily, but also opening and using certain loot items. For example, in the beginning area you get small pouches of loot from defeated mobs, which contains a small amount of silver per pouch. I have around 50 something of these pouches, which can be 70 something Silver, easy money. Except they cost 1 labor point each to open, so I'll need 50 something labor points. You can only accumulate 5 labor points ever 5 minutes of game time, without paying money for them. It's rather annoying, but looking at the positive side, it at least encourages players to pursue other areas of the game, like questing or exploring. Since it was originally a Korean MMO, it has a lot of grinding aspects to get the cool stuff, which really encourages players to team up and join guilds, which I'm actually quite alright with for this particular game. Guilds, or just teamed up players can work together to craft, houses, castles and ships, something I'm looking forward to trying.

Yeah I don't like games that have some form of " energy " where you have to wait for it to build back up after performing certain tasks, a lot of games have that.
I'm mostly a gamer on my Iphone. Don't play a lot of online MMO's and stuff but I do game on my phone.

Putting ArcheAge on hold for a bit, though It's still enjoyable. I'm installing Lord of the Rings Online at the moment.
Also free, which is nice since demos are rare to find these days. The graphics of it never struck me as particularly great, they seemed very 2004 WoW like, but pretty much every single review of it is nothing but praises and 10/10s, so it must be worth a try.

Hey There, One of the games I would recommend that I play myself is "The Seige" Thank You! Could you tell me anything about it? I tried Googling it, but couldn't find anything specific, except a very vague gameplay trailer, and links to the Crowfall MMO i mentioned in the OP.
