(I wasn't sure where to post this so please move this thread if I've posted it in the wrong area.)
I've recently been really thinking about either getting a tablet or a new laptop since my laptop was destroyed. Although I admit that having a laptop will mean that I can do more things, I also don't want to carry around a laptop all the time. Here's where my friends recommended a tablet to me. I once had an iPad (an earlier version) but found that there was limited things I could do with it. Is that still the same?
The main thing that I would need either for would be document writing and browsing the internet.

If you'd mainly need it for writing, and Internet surfing, I think a Surface Pro might be better suited, seeing as they come with a fold out keyboard as standard. If you already use Windows on your home computer, or work, It would also integrate with that more easily.

If you get a laptop I recommend a Windows one.

You can get windows 10 2in1 's for only a couple hundred. A 2in1 is a laptop, but you can take the top off of it, so It can also turn into a tablet, perfect for you
