How's the weather out there? It's so cold and there's no air, I can't breathe Fun fact; Space isn't actually cold. There's no matter to absorb your body heat. You'd definitely suffocate though. Space still sucks.

Not in space. There's no matter or atmosphere in space that stop heat and radiation from stars traveling forever. Space is the same "temperature" near Mars as on Pluto, since there's nothing blocking the suns rays from traveling in all directions.

Interesting but then why is the sun so hot yet space is so cold you would die out there?

Interesting but then why is the sun so hot yet space is so cold you would die out there? In space you're much less likely to die from cold, more than likely you'd die from lack of oxygen. You could in fact survive without a helmet in outer space for maybe 30 seconds. There's still tons of radiation, and the afforementioned lack of air though. If you position yourself in the path of direct sunlight you'd also probably just boil/burn to death. Only if you find an area in space without any direct sun does it get cold.
