But for the people who do not fall into the "A lot" group, people like me and a lot of the older generation who do not have smart phones and smart tvs etc, dvds are just easier and simpler, for the most part anyway. Ah, gotcha. Fair point. There's also the oldest generation, like my grandmother who is so terrified of using her DVD/VHS player we aren't allowed to touch it, lest it explode. Despite many hours trying to explain that no component of the device can perform such a deed. I have a (now old) flat screen that is 'HD ready' lol. Remember when they were HD Ready coz HD was not out yet? Ha,ha. Yep, good times. We just got to 4K resolutions too, which is like 16 times better than simple old "HD". And they're already getting ready to make 8K TVs. Remember when the family used to watch things together? lol. Now most families are in deferent rooms watching tv on every kind of device under the sun The blessing and curse of technology. Bringing people closer together, at a distance. Also just out of curiosity; Are you referring to actual DVDs, as in the format, or just using it as a shorthand for Blu Rays since DVDs is shorter and we're more used to saying it?

Ha, ha, ha, aww bless her. but yes that just the kind of thing I meant when I said the older generation It all moves so, so fast. It is very hard (and very expensive) to keep up with it all. That sums it up beautifully. Here, have some karma for that The sad part is that people often watch the same thing in deferent rooms now. Ha, ha. I did mean dvd because that is what I still use But I know most people have blue ray now, and I think that is simple like dvd, just put the disc in and play, right? We had sooooooooooooooo many dvds when blu ray came out and we were not going to pay out to get them all again on blu ray discs, so we still have and love good old dvd (I know blu ray will play dvds, but dvd players will not play blu rays) kept meaning to get a blu ray player but we never got around to it. I have heard good things about blu ray.

It all moves so, so fast. It is very hard (and very expensive) to keep up with it all. Technology, barring alien invasions and such, will always keep moving faster, since they largely keep building upon existing ideas. It'll go from 4K, to 8K, then 16K etc. Here, have some karma for that Thank ya. But I know most people have blue ray now, and I think that is simple like dvd, just put the disc in and play, right? Exactly. A Blu Ray (yes without the E, It's trademarked...) is just a better DVD, each disc can hold more information. So if you had 2 or even 3 discs for 1 DVD movie, like a long movie with many bonus features for example, you could fit all that on 1 Blu Ray disc instead. And Blu Ray has better quality pictures and sound. And here's the bonus; A Blu Ray player can still play your regular DVDs.

I pretty much live on Netflix ..... Have just had a weekend back to back watching Sense8. Only been one season so far, I don't think I was going to like it but hey ... I watched the entire season.
