I really enjoy Netflix. Hulu is nice too, but it has commercials that last a minute or two...

Are you all talking about netflix where you stream the movies? I had the netflix dvd rental at one time until the double charged me and would refund the extra payment. All we have here on dvd rental is redbox. We had a place called hastings where you could rent dvd or buy also you could buy other things but they are going out of business.

I rent from lovefilm by post (now taken over by amazon). Even if I get netflix I will keep lovefilm because I have been with them for so long, and I like having the actual dvd.
You just put them in the player and watch them (okay if they do not have a fingerprint or smudge making them stick lol) without having to load the pc, connect to the Internet, search for and load whatever you want to watch, connect the pc to the tv etc, etc.
Plus the dvd's have special features and things too that I like to watch, don't know if netflix has them.

without having to load the pc, connect to the Internet, search for and load whatever you want to watch, connect the pc to the tv etc, etc. You make it sound a bit more complex than it is for a lot of people. Modern Smart TVs just have a Netflix app, so you don't need to "connect to the internet", or load anything, It's all done via streaming. Same goes for phones, tablets and consoles. I have the app on both my phone, PC and Xbox, and It's literally just a few clicks or touch of a button and I'm streaming something. The phone and Xbox do it via Wi-Fi as well for convenience. Sadly they don't, you gotta get the Blu Rays for that. Shame really, I do enjoy those as well.

Oh, I know a lot of people watche it on their PC, Xbox and phones etc, Vincent Van Ghoul . But for the people who do not fall into the "A lot" group, people like me and a lot of the older generation who do not have smart phones and smart tvs etc, dvds are just easier and simpler, for the most part anyway. I have a (now old) flat screen tv that is 'HD ready' lol. Remember when they were HD Ready coz HD was not out yet? Ha,ha. If I want to watch a film off the internet through my tv, coz the family can see it better that way, it will almost defiantly need a physical cable to make the connection lol. Remember when the family used to watch things together? lol. Now most families are in deferent rooms watching tv on every kind of device under the sun
