Daddy's Home, worth renting/buying?

Hello everyone.

Has anyone seen this move?
I like the look of the movie Daddy's Home, but I am rather put of by the fact that Will Ferrell is in it because there are very few of his movies that I would ever bother to watch.
I kind of liked Stranger Than Fiction, but I find some (or most) of his other movies so crude, vulgar and rubbish or just plain offensive.  

The ad makes this film look rather good, and I do like Mark Wahlberg in the few movies I have seen him in, but Will Ferrell is making the alarm bells go off.

Is this film crude and vulgar like many of Will Ferrell other movies, or would you say it is fairly "safe" to watch?

I've never seen or heard of this movie though I've never been a huge fan of movies with Will Ferrell in them.

I love Will Ferrel, but completely forgot about this movie. I'll watch it for sure, then let you know.

I respectfully disagree with that comment, but it made me laugh.

I would appreciate it if you would give me your verdict once you have seen it, thank you.

But please don’t give any spoilers if it is “safe” to watch
I hate it when people go “you should totally see this movie, this happens then this happens then it ends like this!” lol

Alright, I watched it.

It's not really my kind of movie. I'm a huge Will Ferrell fan, but because of films like Old School, Talladega Nights and Anchorman. Daddy's Home isn't in that category.
To me It's like when Eddie Murphy went from Raw to making Disney movies. It's good, but It's not who they are.

But, If Stranger than Fiction is what you'd consider a good Will Ferrell movie (or a movie where you can at least tolerate his presence), you can probably live without seeing Daddy's Home.
Look up Everything Must Go instead, that's a great movie, but not a good Will Ferrell movie.

I really just wanted to know if this movie is safe to watch.
By “safe” I mean not overall crude, rude, vulgar or obscene and not loads and loads of swearing. That kind of thing.
You know something you can watch with the family without having to worry or press the fast forwards button too many times.

For example:
Step Brother: NOT SAFE!!!
Stranger Than Fiction: Fairly: Safe (What I remember of it anyway)

FYI I did not like Talladega Nights, I just turned it off and watched something else
I have not even bothered to sees the other two lol
But I am in the Disney camp So if this film is on the "Disney" side and not on the "Will Ferrell" side, then that is what I want.

Would you say the movie is fairly crude, rude, vulgar or obscene? Or would you say it is on the "Safe" "Disney" side? (If that makes sense)
