I feel like games like Infinite would benefit immensely if the focus was shifted from FPS elements as the means to progress, and focused more on the storytelling aspect. It feels like you can't have a AAA Title these days without obligatory action elements. Like Uncharted 2, or 3 I honestly can't remember, where the story remained excellent, but the gameplay was a long line of quick time events, much like in any Assassin's Creed game after III. I did play the first chapter of the DLC, only because of the new setting, I loved the first Bioshock largely due to the underwater setting, it really resonated with me. Never got around to playing the rest though. Agreed. But then on the other end you have games like Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls that focus too much on story, to the point that it starts to get boring from a gaming perspective. I loved both of those games, but it felt like doing chores a lot of the time. Something in between would be nice. Good point. My main issue with those games isn't the story focus, It's the gameplay. They were games, trying to be movies, trying to be games. Something like Alan Wake had a great blend of story parts, with plenty of action in between.

I would say my favourite overall was a little online game called webkinz that I played as a kid. And the animal crossing series.

I used to be a huge gamer, now it's mainly just a bit of clash of clans and not much else in the way of gaming.
