As someone who is from the UK, I do think it is right that the UK is having this debate. What we originally went into has utterly changed, so it is only right that we be asked again.
But that said, I am very much for staying in and hope that if we do the anti EU shenanigans in the UK media die down.
The EU is not perfect. But to think we can make it on our own in a globalized world is madness. I also think the EU often gives the little guy a bit more power to hold their governments to account. I'd hate to see what the current UK government would do should it pull out of Europe and thus the convention on human rights.
That said, I have a sad feeling that the UK will vote out. It is near impossible to get answers to the nagging questions without rhetoric. We can't get the facts we are looking for to make an informed decision.

The Convention on Human Rights is nothing to do with the EU , we actually have been signed up to is since 1950!! in fact regardless of whether we stay in the EU or not this government has said it is going to be something it might look to abandon if it won the next election , So this issue has nothing to do with staying in the EU , we are still going to be signed up the the convention.

Why exactly does Britain want to leave the EU? What would happen/change if they left the EU?
