I grew up playing my brothers Sega MegaDrive and later Saturn, before we got an Xbox in 2001, which we still have, and probably still works. Then I got my own first console, as in I paid for it myself, the Xbox 360, which is still my preferred platform. And I'll probably upgrade and get the Xbox One during the holidays. I myself have never owned a xbox, though I have played on someone else`s xbox before.

Something that sticks out to me, was how innovative the original Xbox actually was. I was the only one of my friends who had one, everyone else had PS2s, or Gamecubes, and every time we played on their systems, they had to find the right memory card, or restart the console to change discs. The Xbox had built in memory, and didn't need to be rebooted or anything to change games. It was just a much more seamless and well rounded experience.

2001 I believe. It was announced a year prior, and was probably the last of the generation's consoles to be released.

The thing I do not like about xbox is it is mostly fighting games.

Depends on what you mean by "fighting" games. I just grabbed a stack of random games next to me, they are an Assassin's Creed game, Battlefield 4, Brutal Legend and Test Drive Unlimited 2. The Xbox and Playstation each generation tend to share a vast amount of the same titles, only with a handful of exclusives to each side.

When I say fighting games I do not like things like call of duty/modern warfare that kind of stuff. I like more cartoony kind of fighting games like mario and clash of clans ( which are not even really fighting games )

The Xbox has never had more of those than any other console. Sure Halo might get more attention, since It's just a flagship title for the franchise. But this generation in particular, the Playstation has the edge on FPS games (the more common term for 'fighting' games). Both Destiny, and CoD have more support from the PS crowd than the Xbox crowd.
Sounds like you'd love the Indie game scene though.
