Could you elaborate on the "many computer games had just died out now" part? Do you mean the ones you used to play, or computer games in general? It Just seems that less people play online computer games now. Plus the ones I used to play died out. Actually, I think there's more people than ever who play online. More and more people now have internet access than had it 10 or 15 years ago, and there's a much bigger market. World of Warcraft's sitting at over 5 Million players, still. League of Legends has tens of millions of players each month too, and It's like this across the board. Even new genre games like Hearthstone has over ten million players.

It's a card game based on the Warcraft mythology. I've yet to play it, but I've watched a lot of gameplay from it, and It looks incredibly fun to play.
The basic concept is that you can play as a number of classes, e.g. Warrior, Mage, Paladin. And your class largely determines what cards/spells you play, and generally sets the tone for your playstyle. The reason I haven't dived into yet, is that they lack the Death Knight class, my preferred one from WoW, thematically and gameplay wise.
Here's a very good first look at it from Totalbiscuit:

They're entirely different kinds of games.

It's a high fantasy series, generally it revolves around the many species of the fictional world of Azeroth, divided into 2 factions. It's hard to summarize almost 20 years of lore and games into a short post.

The series has. The first game was released in '94, and It's 2 sequels like the first, were RTS games. WoW was launched in '04 and Is still going today. Then of course they also released Hearthstone and Heroes of the Storm.
